As a detoxifier, the Master Cleanser has proven to be effective for it rids the body of accumulated waste products while revitalizing the body’s own natural healing abilities. The release of excess toxins allows the body to function more easily. As a whole, it restores the system to a more vital and effective operating level.
The regime is intended to be followed for ten days. However, based upon the individual’s physical condition, it may be safely extended to 40 days or more.

Master Cleanse recipe ingredients

Specifically, the ingredients within the Master Cleaner prove effective for several reasons:

  1. As you are now fasting, you have ceased eating solid foods thereby giving your system a break from having to undergo the taxing digestive process.
  2. Not only has lemon juice has proven to be a potent cleanser for the body, it is also is high in vitamins and contains both cationic and anionic minerals. In addition, lemon juice also aides in loosening up excess mucus within the body.
  3. Cayenne pepper serves the purpose of breaking down mucus, while also aiding in the cleansing of the respiratory, digestive and circulatory systems. 
  4. The job of maple syrup is to provide you with energy from an unprocessed source while undergoing the Master Cleanse.
  5. The herbal laxative tea helps to stimulate peristalsis (muscle contraction) of the colon. The only other way known to induce peristalsis is by eating a diet rich in fiber.  Without a laxative, the waste products which are internally released will remain in the body as opposed to being extracted, a state which can lead to a range of troublesome health problems.
